I became editor of the John Curtin School Annual Report in 1978, after a rash promise to the previous editor. Annual Reports at that time were unpretentious documents, pocket-sized, black and white, text only and stapled together. They carried the vital information, reports of all the School's research, staff, and publications but were unapologetically written for colleagues.

As we became more committed to informing other audiences about our research, the format slowly evolved through a B5-sized booklet with four colour cover and black and white photographs, to an A4-sized full Annual Report.

Today you are reading our Annual Report online on the world wide web.

A large format Annual Review generously illustrated with full colour photographs and figures is published separately. This document is not the full Annual Report of our research activities, but a shorter more user-friendly version, called The John Curtin School of Medical Research Annual Review, that is tailored to a general audience. A copy of the Review may be obtained by contacting the John Curtin School of Medical Research Unit Public Affairs Unit.
